Austin, San Antonio, and Everywhere in between!

We had a wonderful vacation this year! We went to the Austin/San Antonio/Hill country area of Texas. It was really fun to explore this area (although pretty HOT).

On the way we stopped by Tyler, Texas to reunite with the pastor who married us 8 years ago....great to catch up!
Austin, Texas.  A really fun city!
Our rooftop pool.  Maggie LOVED this.  We swam until it closed at 10PM!  Fun times!

Riding the train at a park in New Braunfels, Texas....
Another roof top pool in San Antonio.  By the way, thanks to Laura D for introducing me to hotwire.com.... I got this hotel room for 80 dollars!  It was regular 240/night!  Hotel Contessa in San Antonio was VERY nice and I could really live at this pool!  So relaxing!!!!

Riverwalk in San Antonio.  Such a beautiful area....
Mini-golf at our "Griswald like" resort!  ha ha ha!!!
We visited UT (texas)!  Very beautiful campus!
Also, we hit Austin City Limits....Johnny Lang and Buddy Guy!  Fun times!

Someone just could not hang!  She actually fell asleep during the concert (which was not very quiet.... how I would love to be able to sleep like that)
The "squirrel cafe" at the B&B we stayed at.  Nice place.  Adams House in the Hyde Park area of Austin.  LOVELY area!!!!
The Pic&Pac...just a place we have to remember...
a Trail in the hill country area....

pretty area!  IT was HOT though!
This was taken on Father's day 2012.  I like this picture!
Maggie with her wild sunflower.  They grow wild everywhere in this area!
New Braunfels.  A cool little town and home to Schlitterbahn (which we did not visit).  I just was not too impressed with Schlitterbahn.
playing hide and seek in New Braunfels...
SEA WORLD San Antonio.  A huge hit to Maggie.  She played and played for 6 hours with no food (not because we didn't try to feed her.... she was just too busy to eat).  We met Cookie Monster and Zoey.  She thought that was great!
Riding the ferris wheel.  This child is NOT a thrill seeker.  This was about the extent of the rides she would attempt along with the carousel.
Her favorite park.  The huge splash pad area at Sea World.  The Bay of Play

The shows were my favorite part.  They were really good.  Shamu Stadium....
Mama and Baby Shamu....
Maggie's princess face paint.  Was this really worth 15 dollars?  I guess so.  She was beside herself about it!  It is the only thing she wanted from Sea World.
San Antonio Arts district area....

More Riverwalk... San Antonio
A little friend who really enjoyed Maggie's french fries.... even though we were not supposed to be feeding her...
The Alamo (at night).  That tree is a bit creepy to me...

The Riverwalk at night....very pretty!!
Maggie on the Riverwalk (behind our fabulous hotel)
In our hotel.  She wanted a picture here.
and here...
A windmill in San Antonio.  Maggie loves windmills...
But does not love cacti!
Our "home" for the week.... like I said a bit Griswald but a GREAT central location for us and Maggie thought it was the BEST place ever and that's what really matters...

More UT (texas)

Adams House BandB

Such a great vacation filled with great memories.  I would really love to revisit this area again in the future!
